We’re looking for interns passionate about housing justice
Communications and Community Organizing Internship for WSU Murrow College of Communications students (2 positions)
Hosted by: People First Communications
Client Partnership: Corpus Commons
About People First Communications
People First was co-founded by Amethyst and Garrett Freibott-Kalt, both former students in the Murrow College of Communications. They use their skills in storytelling and fundraising to support nonprofits on the frontline of addressing housing insecurity by using person-centered stories to create community action. This internship is an opportunity to translate your communications skills into social impact.
About this Internship
People First Communications is looking for two Murrow College interns who care about ending housing insecurity and want hands-on campaign and community organizing experience. With guidance and support from People First, these interns will work closely with Corpus Commons, Boise's only year-round day shelter, whose mission is to ease the burden of local homelessness. In 2025, with the support of People First, Corpus Commons' Avenues for Hope campaign raised more than $300,000. Interns will learn about housing and homelessness while helping build on that momentum for this year's campaign.
